Welcome to Mavee. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how our app works. Mavee is a personal productivity app that connects your calendar, contacts, and reminders to surface insights and patterns — all using on-device intelligence.

This Privacy Policy explains what data Mavee accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding your information.

1. Information We Access

1.1 On-Device Data Sources

With your explicit permission, Mavee accesses the following data sources on your device:

• Calendar Events — To build your timeline and surface scheduling insights
• Contacts — To identify people in your events and build relationship context
• Reminders — To track tasks and surface productivity patterns

1.2 Third-Party Account Data

If you choose to connect external accounts, Mavee accesses:

• Google — Calendar, contacts, Gmail, and Drive data via Google OAuth
• Microsoft — Outlook calendar, contacts, and mail via Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL)

Authentication tokens for these services are stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. Mavee fetches data from these services directly to your device — we do not operate any intermediary servers.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

2. How Your Data Is Used

2.1 On-Device Processing

All data processing in Mavee happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks:

• Building a unified timeline from your calendar events, contacts, and reminders
• Generating daily briefing summaries
• Identifying patterns in your schedule and relationships
• Answering natural language questions about your personal context
• Extracting entities and relationships from your events

2.2 On-Device Storage

Mavee stores indexed data and generated insights locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is:

• Protected by iOS data protection (encrypted at rest)
• Accessible only to the Mavee app (sandboxed)
• Deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Apple On-Device AI

Mavee uses Apple's Foundation Models framework for AI processing. All inference runs locally on your device's Neural Engine. No data is sent to Apple's servers for AI processing.

3.2 Google Sign-In

If you connect a Google account, authentication is handled by the Google Sign-In SDK. Google receives only the authentication request — Mavee does not share your personal data with Google beyond what is required for OAuth authentication.

3.3 Microsoft Authentication (MSAL)

If you connect a Microsoft account, authentication is handled by the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL). Microsoft receives only the authentication request.

3.4 No Other Third-Party Services

• ❌ No analytics SDKs (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
• ❌ No crash reporting services
• ❌ No advertising networks
• ❌ No social media trackers
• ❌ No data brokers or resellers

4. Data Security

Your data is protected by multiple layers of security:

• iOS App Sandbox — Mavee can only access its own data container
• iOS Data Protection — All local data is encrypted at rest using hardware-backed encryption
• Keychain Services — Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain with hardware-level protection
• HTTPS — All communication with Google and Microsoft APIs uses TLS encryption

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local data — Retained on your device until you delete the app or clear its data
• Authentication tokens — Stored in Keychain; removed when you disconnect an account or delete the app
• No server-side data — Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to retain on our end

To delete all Mavee data, simply uninstall the app from your device. All local data, cached content, and stored tokens will be permanently removed.

6. Children's Privacy

Mavee does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app relies on data already present on the user's device (calendar, contacts, reminders) and does not transmit this data anywhere.

If you believe a child under 13 is using Mavee inappropriately, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Because Mavee processes all data on your device and does not collect or store any personal data on our servers, you have complete control:

• Access — All your data is on your device, visible in the app
• Deletion — Uninstall the app to remove all data, or disconnect individual accounts in Settings
• Portability — Your source data (calendar, contacts, reminders) remains in your existing accounts
• Revoke Access — Remove permissions at any time in iOS Settings or disconnect accounts within Mavee

8. GDPR Compliance (European Users)

Mavee is designed to be GDPR-compliant by default:

• Data minimization — We only access data you explicitly grant permission for
• No data transfers — Your data stays on your device; no international transfers occur
• Consent-based — All data sources require your explicit opt-in via iOS permission prompts
• Right to erasure — Delete the app to remove all data immediately

9. California Privacy (CCPA)

For California residents: Mavee does not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information for commercial purposes. Since all processing is on-device with no data collection, CCPA rights are satisfied by default.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last Updated" date. Since Mavee does not collect email addresses, please check this page periodically for updates.
